Why do we encourage offbeat travels?

India is a land of mysteries and charm. Colossal mountain ranges, exotic beaches, mysterious temples, sacred shrines, dramatic desserts, eternal bugyals, and serpentine rivers allure people from various regions of the world to explore India for its rich natural beauty, diversified culture, and ethereal tranquillity. Almost every season, traditional and popular destinations of India are cramming with enthusiastic pilgrims, avid travellers, and alfresco nature lovers. These popular and well-known tourist destinations are thus beautifully maintained, have a well-managed infrastructure and a professional touch. But not everyone can withstand the crowd and there are always some intrepid travellers who would look for some secluded destinations that can take them to the core of nature and silence. When they travel, they are generally looking to connect with the authenticity of a place and its people, rather than comfort and luxury. May it be just soaking in the afternoon sun overlooking magnificent snow peaks, being the silent witnesser of soft dawns waking up to its fiery charm, listening to the symphony of chirping birds and secret whispers of the gushing winds, getting painted by the essence of rainbow butterflies or getting awestruck with the magnificence of stardust nights in eternal bugyals, all these can be accomplished when you visit places which are uncharted and unexplored. And not only that, when you travel offbeat, you will always get the chance to not just know the locals, their cultures, heritage, and their thoughts about life, but you will also get the chance to actually live it. Often locals, in commercial and popular tourist destinations develop a sense and mindset of professionalism, which is great for both the tourists and local business, but this will outcast your chance to mingle and get localized with the place you are visiting. You always grow when you share and exchange and unless you are living at a place like a local, you will always miss a part of what that particular place and people have to offer. And lastly, when you are visiting offbeat, in many cases you will be devoid of comfort and routines of home and sometimes company of like-minded peoples. You will get ample chance to be with yourself, self-introspect, and face your unheard and ignored self, giving yourself a chance to not just bond with nature but re-bond with yourself.

Our Vision & Mission

Traveloffbeat encourage our guest to connect with nature, not just spending leisurely vacations in some exotic places partying and having fun with friends and family but also to be in communion with the massive healing nature is offering to all of us without any judgment. Nowadays, most of us are well aware of how spending a few minutes of our day alone or in meditation can improve the quality of our life, our psychology, relationships, emotions and extensively reduce our stress level. But our survival-oriented city lifestyle barely gives us the chance to manage some quality and exclusive time for ourselves. Thus, whenever you are having a vacation, we encourage you to break the pattern and get deeply connected with nature. That’s the reason our team is extensively researching serene and offbeat locations with basic comfort and necessities and partnering with them. Traveloffbeat also believes that being a part of sustainable eco-tourism will provide economic benefits to local communities and reduce migration. Tourists and travellers will also get the chance to exchange knowledge and culture and benefit mutually.

Tania Chakraborty
Co-Founder and Managing Director

Tania Chakraborty, aka Tanz is a B-Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and an Entrepreneur. More than a decade ago, she left her corporate job and decided to do something meaningful in life. What means meaningful to one may sound completely insignificant to others but that’s how perception works. For Tania, it is all about listening to her inner calls, answering the needs of inner pains, growing as a human being, and expanding her consciousness every day. It is the inward journey for which she has set her voyage for and ever since this odyssey began, it has been a life-changing experience for her. After years of engrossed inner engagements, she started penning down her realizations, her inner thoughts, and how it feels when one answers his/her inner callings. It is not easy to break norms especially when you are in India and a woman, but Tania has always been a rebel and break multiple adaptive patterns she encountered. She has been practicing spirituality and a holistic lifestyle ever since and works as an energy healer and spiritual and meditation coach. She is also a freelance writer and partnering with an IT company. And lastly, she is an ardent nature lover, a solo hiker, and an enthusiastic trekker herself. She has extensively travelled the remotest parts of India since she was a child and has always felt home while blending with the people of nature. Her wisdom comes not from bookish knowledge but from her constant endeavour with nature, her inner awareness, mind, body, and spirit.
