North Sikkim Offbeat Trip

Itinerary:

Day 1: NJP / Siliguri / Bagdogra to Tingvong by car (Stay in homestay)
We will pick you up from Bagdogra airport/NJP/Siliguri and drive you to Tingvong in Upper Dzongu. You’ll be staying in a homestay at Tingvong, where you will experience the simplicity and the rich hospitality of your hosts and local inhabitants. Spend the evening interacting with your host’s family and enjoy a delicious home-cooked local cuisine cooked over the traditional mud stove.

Day 2: Stay in Tingvong homestay (Car not needed)
You can go around to the nearest villages Kusong and Nung. At Kusong there is a monastery which is worth visiting. From Tingvong village a route has gone to upward section and intersected at Kusong monastery. From there through the jungle path at about 2 kilometers is Kusong village. And from Tingvong to the lower section is Nung village. You can visit to the nearest Tingvong waterfall.

Day 3: Tingvong to Lingthem village by car (Stay in homestay)
The Lingthem Homestay is blessed with picturesque views of the mighty Kanchenjunga Mountain and surrounded by paddy fields and cardamom groves. It showcases the fine features of traditional Lepcha architecture. Go for village walk and visit the monastery at the top of the village.

Day 4: Lingthem village to Namprikdang via Passingdong village and back to Linghtem village by car
It will take an hour to reach Passingdong from Lingthem. After reaching Passingdong, another 20 mins. drive will take you to Namprikdang. Once you’ve reached there, you’ll enjoy lunch in the fresh outdoors. Spend the rest of the day exploring the area, and in the evening back to Linghtem village by car.

Day 5: Lingthem village to NJP / Siliguri / Bagdogra
We’ll drive you to Bagdogra airport / N.J.P. railway station soon after breakfast. We hope you take back happy memories and await your return for another exciting trip with us.

  • In case of unavailability in the listed hotels, arrangement for an alternate accommodation will be made in a hotel of similar standard

  • Transportation shall be provided as per the itinerary and will not be at disposal
  • Rates are based on above mentioned pax travelling together, any change in no of pax, days and date of journey will attract re-quote

  • Payment of 50% of Package Cost is required within 5 days prior travel date for booking. Booking is confirmed on payment of booking amount and the balance needs to be paid on Day 1 of your trip

Cancellation Policy

  • Less than 3 Days Prior to Travel Date: 100% of the Package Cost as Cancellation Charge
  • 3-10 Days Prior to Travel Date: 75% of the Package Cost as Cancellation Charge
  • 10-30 Days Prior to Travel Date: 50% of the Package Cost as Cancellation Charge
  • More than 30 Days: Full Refund of Package Cost Excluding Processing Fees

  • Lunch-Rice, Sabji, Dal, Bhaji & Egg Curry

Dos & Don’ts

  • Most important thing to keep in mind is that never expect luxury accommodation during travelling Dzongu valley in North Sikkim. You cannot expect luxury meals, facilities etc. there as it is a remote destination.
  • Carry good number of woollen garments, sweaters, gloves, and caps to protect you from the cold
  • Suggest not staying at high altitude area if you are travelling with children and elderly person as it will create headaches, dizziness and vomiting among the aged and children
  • Carry sunglasses, torch, power bank, first-aid box, and other necessary items with you
  • Carry Original and Photocopy of Id Proof like Voter ID Cards including passport size photograph for North Sikkim Permit. Need to carry Birth Certificate or ration card in mandatory for minor too
