Mulkharka is essentially a tiny village located in the fringe of North Bengal, in Kalimpong district. This place is famous for a natural lake which offers a magical reflection of Mt. Not only those millions of stars etched in the sky but also the flickering lights from the distant villages nestled in the slopes of mountains made it a sight to behold. Mulkharka is the perfect escapade for those who love flowers, lake, streams, forest trails and seek solace far away from maddening noise. Just a 5-minute downstairs walk from the motorable road, this adorable homestay has a splendid view of the surrounding green forests, valleys, and Mt. Kanchenjungha. The homestay evokes a fantastic blend of traditional local culture and modern civic amenities. There is a beautiful lawn in front of the homestay where you can sit with your morning cuppa and relish the sight of distant valleys. At night, the lawn offers even better views; you can see popular hill stations like Lava, Rishop, Pedong, Algarha (from left to right) glittering in the dark valley. When the day wanes and dusk take over, lights start twinkling from the valley and when evening sets in completely the lights appear like pearls being etched on a curtain of black velvet. This couple and pet-friendly stay is surely the ideal holiday destination for couples, families, solo backpackers, and group of friends.

You will be served simple home-cooked organic food. Breakfast options are puri, sabji, paratha, bread butter, tea / milk. Rice, dal, seasonal vegetables, roti, pickle etc is provided in lunch and the same with delicious chicken curry for dinner.
